Established 1981 'Brief History'
Established in 1981 by a Small Group of Short Circuit Competition Racers & Touring Riders wanting to Ride under
their Own Club & started the Leeton Motorcycle Club Fostering Racing, Training & Touring with a Family & Social Style and the Enjoyment of Motorcycling "Barry Aylett" encouraged our Club forming & even though he didn't ride his support was untiring His dream was that our riders have their Own Racetrack & in his honour is named "Barry Aylett Park" Russell Tucker 'Tuck' laid the plaque - "Barry, We Made It" "Russell Tucker" was the consistent daily effort behind the practical establishment of our Racetrack Site His enthusiasm & constant work since our inception bring us what it is today Russell along with Garry Whitty won the Australian National Dirt Short Circuit Championship in 1982 'Tuck' we're still going strong - "Quality of Life" ALL PHOTOS are also Available to View and/or Download FREE, Click: http://picasaweb.google.com/leetonmotorcycleclub/
MNSW '2008 Club of the YEAR'
MNSW AWARDS - 'Motorcycling NSW' held a Fantastic Inaugural "Night of Champions" at the Penrith Panthers Pavilion on Saturday 29th Nov 2008, almost 600 attended the Awards. Representing our Members, 14 attended including Lynne Tucker, Beau Tucker & Zoe Tucker. The night's compeer was Terry Kennedy with Racing Stars; Wayne Gardner, Chris Holden & Shawn Giles. Fund Raising was dedicated to Westmead Children's Hospital.
President Lionel Weston, Secretary Phil Meline & Treasurer Pat Ferrier, were all called on stage to accept the MNSW Award Plaque..." 2008 CLUB of the YEAR " on behalf of the Members of Leeton Motorcycle Club. Lionel complimented MNSW for a Great Year, & during thanking our Members & our Catering Ladies he said.. "..It's 'Our Members' who have acheived this Award...and the Dream of our late President Russel Tucker.." To MNSW: Many Thanks for "2008 Club of the Year" Congratulations to MNSW Directors & Staff, All NSW Racing Clubs, & All Racers & their Families
